Riding for Change: The Kyoto Bike Discount Program

May 12, 2017
Vancouver, B.C. Canada

For immediate release

In April of 2017, India announced that every car must be all-electric, to prevent millions of people from dying of an “Airpocalypse”.

Canada was active in the Kyoto Protocol in 1987. That was the inspiration for Ebike Bob’sKyoto’ bike discounts in Vancouver, BC, which saw more than one hundred retailers offer discounts to cyclists who shopped on their bikes, as a ‘reward‘ for keeping the air cleaner for all of us.

Deaths from air pollution, according to UBC, are in the millions, every year.  A Vancouver Sun article says that air pollution is nine times more deadly than car crashes, “Chronic exposure to air pollution causes nearly nine times as many premature deaths in Canada as traffic crashes, University of B.C. researchers say in an article published Monday in the Canadian Medical Association Journal.”

Would you like to see more Metro Vancouver retailers everywhere offer the innovative Kyoto Bike Discount Program?  Would you like to help everyone know that such discounts exist?  Funding is needed to make the expansion of this discount program possible.
